After a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back with an encore that lasts through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.
The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.
A regional fantasy map generated in Campaign Cartographer 3+.
The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.
For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle contains these components:
Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.
As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options is toward the top of the page, though users may also choose any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an donation allocation menu immediately below, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
